Why you should make the most of student study groups

Updated: Jan 20, 2020

An invaluable resource that people forget is networking. Getting a good relationship with your classmates can be instrumental in your success in your courses. When life happens, and you miss a class, you have a resource for notes. If you are a little lost on directions in class, look to a classmate to get their understanding. Two heads are better than one.

Your professor is available for questions, but your classmates are in the experience just like you. Listen to their input, brainstorm with them, and be a good team player. College teaches more than academics. It also assists in the transition from the controlled environment of k-12 learning to the working world. Learn to navigate the people you work well with, versus the people you have to learn tolerance for. All of these lessons are important to academic success.
